The USDA Forest Service has extended the initial public comment period for the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument Management Plan until August 11, 2015. This comment period is focused on a "Need to Change" analysis, which compares the Presidential Proclamation which created the Monument to existing management direction in the ANF Land Management Plan (LMP), to determine the scope of the Monument Plan. Comments are due by August 11, 2015. The Monument Plan will be adopted as an amendment to the LMP. It is anticipated at this time that the project will include an Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact. Please click on the document links below for details on the project.
