We are going on our Annual Eastern Sierra Grasshopper Trip on July 14th-21st. We have set up a condo in Mammoth to fish the surrounding areas. The condo holds up to 8 people comfortably, with sleeping up to 10. The condo, with eight people, will be $220.00 per person for the week.

We’ll meet in the condo for breakfast at 6am and for dinner at 6pm every evening except Saturday July 16th where we will cook hamburgers and hotdogs. We’d like people to bring a side dish or dessert to share for the Saturday dinner.

We will be meeting at 7:00am Saturday, July 16th at the green church on 395 and Benton Crossing Rd. We will want to go fishing early to beat the heat. From there, we can either leave to fish the Long Ears section off 395 on Whitmore Springs Road or go down to the Benton Crossing bridge.

I have found that yellow hopper flies work the best. In the past I’ve bought Dave’s Hoppers and Grand Hoppers from BigYFly.com. I buy mine in sizes 8 and 10. You don't have to stay in the condo to go fishing with us! You can certainly handle your own accommodations and just meet us to fish. Hope to see you there.
